Singing, unlike coffee, improves your mental alertness through improving your blood circulation and increasing your oxygenated blood. The more oxygen reaching your brain the more mentally alert you are, the more you can concentrate and utilize memory. WELLNESS WEDNESDAY

The mental health team is happy to announce that they will be providing Wellness Wednesdays for staff. Each Wednesday, they will lead a wellness session starting at 3:30 pm at varying school sites (schedule posted here, updated regularly)). These sessions will include moments to connect, to listen to a meditation, and/or to do a variety of wellness activities. Wellness Wednesday will be hosted at a different site each week, so check your email for updates. Meditation is scientifically proven to reduce stress and anxiety and promotes mindfulness, memory, self-awareness, kindness, and many other positive lifestyle traits. |
