We have invited a special guest, Dr. Mary Yung from San Mateo County, to offer an overview of IEP & 504 plans and answer questions.

Dr. Mary Yung is the Associate Superintendent of the San Mateo County Special Ed Local Plan Area (SELPA). She is at heart a teacher—she has taught children from birth through adulthood, and in various capacities both generally and in special education as a Teacher, Special Day Class teacher, Inclusion Specialist, Resource Specialist, and Teacher on Special Assignment. Her focus has always been to ensure that all students feel that they belong in whatever classroom she taught or supported. As she moved into administrative capacities in education, she has continued to contribute to the field by teaching our future educators at Skyline College, and San Francisco State as adjunct faculty.
